The symbol is a registered trademark of Mambo
Fateegz. It was formed to symbolize what is
known as Mambo/Salsa on 2, breaking on the
2nd beat of the clave aka New York Style mambo.
MAMBO
FATEEGZ was born in the year 2000, on a
cold winters night in New York. John Knight
AKA "Choco" is the proud founder
and owner.
Q: Who is Mambo Fateegz?
A:
John Knight, AKA "Choco", local
Mambo and Salsa lover and dancer.
Q: What is Mambo Fateegz?
A:
Mambo Fateegz is a Dance Apparel Production
Company based in New York, created to inspire
and motivate lovers of Mambo and Salsa worldwide.
Q: Why?
A:
Those who know me know that I am a true
Mambo and Salsaholic. I wanted to capture
and convey my love and passion for Mambo
and Salsa. So I decided why wait for someone
else to create the perfect Mambo and Salsa
Gear, let me give it a shot, and design
dance apparel that everyone would love.
Q: What the hell is a Fateegz?
A:
Fateegz is a slang derivative of fatigues,
as in army fatigues. Army fatigues are needed
for battle in war or training in the field.
Mambo Fateegz is needed for battle on the
dance floor or training in dance class.
As a student of Eddie Torres I know first
hand the need to change your T-shirt or
put a hat on your head after an intense
shine drill and review.
Q:
Is Mambo Fateegz only for Mambo and Salsa
dancers and lovers?
A:
Absolutely not! All are welcome to catch
the fiebre!
